TRITON Products

Coral SupplementsPrecise Dosing, Guided by Your ICP Results

TRITON introduced the first single-element trace element supplements shortly after bringing ICP analysis to the reefing industry. Today, TRITON Supplements form a line of 18 individually available reef aquarium element solutions — 8 macro elements and 10 trace elements — each dosed according to ICP-OES water analysis results to precisely correct specific imbalances in calcium, magnesium, iodine, and 15 additional parameters. Every dose is calculated from your water analysis. Lab-grade purity. No guesswork.

The TRITON Difference

ICP-Guided Supplementation

Before TRITON, reef keepers were largely guessing — relying on water changes whenever something felt off, often wasting trace elements without ever achieving true long-term stability in their reef tanks. TRITON changed this by introducing ICP-OES testing to make every element visible and measurable, and by developing 18 individual coral supplements — each dosed precisely where your reef needs them, guided by laboratory data. The result: conscious, data-driven supplementation that reduces guesswork, minimises unnecessary water changes, and delivers a higher level of long-term success for reef aquariums worldwide.

TRITON supplements are dosed based on ICP-OES water analysis measuring 45 parameters at parts-per-billion precision. The DOSE tab in every TRITON ICP test result shows the exact correction dose and maintenance dose for each element. This eliminates guesswork and prevents overdosing — every supplement decision is driven by laboratory data, not assumptions.

Your ICP-OES analysis measures 45 parameters in your reef water — down to parts-per-billion precision. When an element falls below its target, the DOSE tab in your results shows exactly how much to add: a correction dose to reach the set point, plus a maintenance dose to keep it there. TRITON supplements are designed for this workflow. Core7 Flex Base Elements cover your daily calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium needs. Individual supplements correct specific imbalances that Core7 alone cannot address. No mixing, no calculating, no guessing — your water analysis drives every decision.

"The DOSE tab removes the guesswork from supplementation. Your water tells us exactly what it needs."

Lab-Grade Purity

Macro Elements — The Building Blocks Your Corals Consume

TRITON offers 8 individually available macro element supplements: calcium, magnesium, potassium, strontium, boron, bromine, sulphate, and fluorine. These elements are consumed in milligram-per-litre quantities and are essential for coral skeleton calcification, pH stability, and coral coloration. All are lab-tested for purity at TRITON Labs and available as powder or liquid formulations.

Calcium, magnesium, potassium, strontium, boron, bromine, sulphate, and fluorine — these are the elements your corals consume in measurable quantities every day. Natural seawater concentrations range from 1.3 mg/L for fluorine to 1,370 mg/L for magnesium. When your ICP-OES test shows a drop below the set point, targeted supplementation restores balance without affecting other parameters. Every TRITON macro element supplement is lab-tested for purity at TRITON Labs.

ICP-Guided Fine-Tuning

Trace Elements — Fine-Tuning Your Reef Chemistry

TRITON provides 7 intermediate-level trace element supplements: iodine, vanadium, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, lithium, and iron. Needed in microgram-per-litre concentrations, these elements influence coral colour, enzyme processes, tissue regeneration, and macro algae growth. Each is dosed according to ICP-OES results to prevent overdosing.

Small imbalances are invisible to home test kits but measurable by ICP-OES at parts-per-billion precision. Dose only what your ICP results indicate — just like phosphate, these elements are powerful at low concentrations.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Reef Supplements

Yes. Trace elements like iodine, zinc, manganese, and vanadium play essential roles in coral coloration, enzyme processes, tissue regeneration, and overall reef health. They are consumed in microgram-per-litre quantities — too small for home test kits to detect, but measurable by ICP-OES analysis at parts-per-billion precision. TRITON offers 18 individual element supplements, each dosed according to your ICP-OES test results.

Send a water sample to TRITON for ICP-OES analysis. The results measure 45 parameters and include a DOSE tab showing exactly which elements need correction, how much to add, and the maximum safe daily dose. You supplement only what your specific system is missing — no guessing, no generic formulas.

Macro elements (calcium, magnesium, potassium, strontium, boron, bromine, sulphate, fluorine) are consumed in milligram-per-litre quantities and form the foundation of coral skeleton growth and pH stability. Trace elements (iodine, vanadium, zinc, manganese, molybdenum, lithium, iron, nickel, chromium, cobalt) are needed in microgram-per-litre concentrations and influence coral colour, enzyme processes, and metabolic functions. Both categories are measurable by ICP-OES analysis.

Yes — several trace elements can be dangerous if dosed incorrectly. TRITON classifies supplements by skill level: Basic elements (calcium, magnesium, potassium, strontium, iodine) are safe for most users. Intermediate elements require careful ICP monitoring. Advanced elements (nickel, chromium, cobalt) are extremely dangerous at elevated concentrations and should only be dosed by experienced aquarists with regular ICP-OES testing. Always follow the dosage instructions in your ICP results.

It depends on your system. For macro elements like calcium and magnesium, individual dosing gives you precise control. For trace and micro elements, TRITON offers two paths: dose all 15 individually using your ICP results, or subscribe to MYTE — a monthly service that combines all 15 elements into two custom-blended bottles based on your latest ICP-OES analysis. MYTE removes the complexity of managing 15 separate products.
