The TRITON Toolkit is a free collection of nine online dosing calculators and reef care resources that helps you transform ICP-OES water test results into precise, product-specific dosing instructions — or simply match TRITON products to your specific needs and dose them correctly. Method manuals, precision tools, and everything you need to act on your data.
9 Tools. Zero Guesswork.
Dosing Calculators — Precision for Every TRITON Product
TRITON dosing calculators are 9 free online tools that calculate exact daily supplement doses for reef aquariums. Each calculator is calibrated to TRITON's proprietary product concentrations and accepts both metric and imperial inputs. The tools cover Core7 base elements, Infusion trace supplements, withdrawal rates, Bio Base dosing, DIY salt mixing, treatment protocols, and custom trace element blends. Built on data from 500,000+ ICP-OES analyses performed since 2008.
Core7 Consumption Calculator
How much Core7 does your reef actually consume? Calculate your exact daily dosage based on tank volume and real calcium and alkalinity consumption rates.
Open CalculatorInfusion Calculator
Do you use a calcium reactor, Balling method, or 2-Part dosing? Calculate your daily TRITON Infusion dose — trace elements without macro elements, calibrated to your tank.
Open CalculatorWithdrawal Calculator
Did you know that dosing liquid Core7 raises salinity over time? Get the exact daily water withdrawal volume to keep your system stable — essential for no-water-change setups.

Open CalculatorNew / Discontinued Products Calculator
Still on older TRITON formulations? Simply convert your dosing for strontium, bromine, calcium, magnesium, sulfate or potassium to the current products — no chemistry disruption.
Open CalculatorNot sure where to start? Get your ICP analysis first — then let the calculators do the maths.
"The calculators exist because adaptability matters. Every reef is different — tank volume, livestock, lighting, and even temperature all affect consumption. Calculators eliminate errors that arise from assumptions and generalisations, making dosing more accurate and efficient."

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
The most common TRITON Toolkit question is how to calculate Core7 dosing. The Core7 Consumption Calculator requires tank volume and daily calcium/alkalinity consumption rates as inputs. For stable systems, recalculation after every ICP-OES test (every 2–3 months) keeps dosing accurate as coral growth shifts consumption patterns.
The Core7 Consumption Calculator requires two inputs: your aquarium volume (in litres or gallons) and your daily calcium and alkalinity consumption rates. If you do not know your consumption rates, measure your calcium and alkalinity levels, wait 24 hours without dosing, and measure again. The difference is your daily consumption. Enter these values into the calculator, and it returns the exact daily dose for each Core7 component (A, 1b, B, C, D). For best results, use ICP-OES test data as your baseline.
The Infusion Calculator is designed for reef keepers who maintain calcium and alkalinity through a calcium reactor, Balling method, or 2-Part dosing — but still need TRITON's trace element blend. It calculates the daily Infusion dose based on your tank volume and consumption, providing the essential trace elements that macro-dosing methods miss. Unlike Core7, Infusion does not contain calcium, alkalinity, or magnesium.
No. Most reef keepers use 1–3 calculators depending on their setup. If you follow the complete TRITON Method, start with the Core7 Consumption Calculator and the Withdrawal Calculator. If you use a calcium reactor or Balling method, the Infusion Calculator is your primary tool. The other calculators address specific scenarios: Bio Base for metabolic acceleration, DIY Salt for custom salt mixing, and the treatment calculators for problem-solving. Choose what matches your system.
Recalculate after every ICP-OES test — typically every 2–3 months for stable systems. Also recalculate when you add or remove significant livestock (new corals, fish), change your lighting schedule, or notice consumption rate shifts. Growing SPS corals will increase calcium and alkalinity consumption over time, so periodic recalculation keeps your dosing accurate.
Yes. Several calculators work with any reef keeping approach. The Infusion Calculator is specifically built for non-TRITON-Method users (calcium reactor, Balling, 2-Part). The Bio Base Calculator, DIY Salt Calculator, and treatment calculators (RTN-X, CYA-NO) are method-independent. The Trace Element Dosing Calculator works with individual TRITON supplements regardless of your base dosing method.
The complete TRITON Method manual is available as a free PDF download on this page, in the Downloads and Manuals section. It is available in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. The manual covers sump design (3-chamber system with algae refugium), Core7 dosing protocols, ICP testing frequency, and the complete biological filtration setup. No registration required.
All TRITON calculators accept both metric (litres, mg/L) and imperial (gallons, ppm) inputs. Results are displayed in millilitres per day for liquid products. Alkalinity can be entered in dKH or meq/L. The calculators automatically convert between unit systems — enter values in whichever format your test results use.
