Select Conversion Type

Choose the conversion you need: 10x concentrate equivalents, dry salt to liquid equivalents, or calculate how much dry salt is needed to raise an element to a target concentration in your aquarium.

Strontium 10x Conversion

100 ml concentrated to 1L liquid equivalent
TRITON Strontium 10x Concentrated 100 ml — current product format Strontium 10x (new)
TRITON Strontium 1L liquid — discontinued format Strontium 1L (old)

Amount of 10x concentrate in ml

Equivalent 1L Liquid Amount

ml

The 10x concentrate is exactly 10 times more concentrated than the discontinued 1L liquid. 1 ml of 10x = 10 ml of old 1L liquid.

Bromine 10x Conversion

100 ml concentrated to 1L liquid equivalent
TRITON Bromine 10x Concentrated 100 ml — current product format Bromine 10x (new)
TRITON Bromine 1L liquid — discontinued format Bromine 1L (old)

Amount of 10x concentrate in ml

Equivalent 1L Liquid Amount

ml

The 10x concentrate is exactly 10 times more concentrated than the discontinued 1L liquid. 1 ml of 10x = 10 ml of old 1L liquid.

Calcium Dry Salt Conversion

1 kg dry salt to 1L liquid equivalent
TRITON Calcium 1 kg dry salt — current product format Calcium 1 kg (new)
TRITON Calcium 1L liquid — discontinued format Calcium 1L (old)

Amount of dry salt in grams

Equivalent 1L Liquid Amount

ml

Conversion factor: 1 g dry salt = 2.2 ml of discontinued Calcium 1L liquid.

Magnesium Dry Salt Conversion

1 kg dry salt to 1L liquid equivalent
TRITON Magnesium 1 kg dry salt — current product format Magnesium 1 kg (new)
TRITON Magnesium 1L liquid — discontinued format Magnesium 1L (old)

TRITON Sulphate 1 kg dry salt — current product format Sulphate 1 kg (new)
TRITON Sulphate 1L liquid — discontinued format Sulphate 1L (old)

Amount of dry salt in grams

Equivalent 1L Liquid Amount

ml

Conversion factor: 1 g dry salt = 6.67 ml of discontinued Sulphate 1L liquid.

Potassium Dry Salt Conversion

1 kg dry salt to 1L liquid equivalent
TRITON Potassium 1 kg dry salt — current product format Potassium 1 kg (new)
TRITON Potassium 1L liquid — discontinued format Potassium 1L (old)

Amount of dry salt in grams

Equivalent 1L Liquid Amount

Why the Format Change?

Better for Reefs, Better for the Planet

TRITON transitioned its single-element supplements from 1-litre liquid bottles to 10x concentrated (100 ml) and dry salt (1 kg) formats in response to customer feedback and environmental responsibility. The active compounds remain identical — only the delivery format changed.

Up to 90% less plastic — A single 100 ml bottle of 10x concentrate replaces ten 1-litre bottles, dramatically reducing packaging waste per dose delivered.

Better value per dose — Concentrated and dry salt formats deliver more product per purchase. Less water shipped means lower cost per element dosed into your reef.

Lower shipping weight — Dry salts weigh a fraction of pre-dissolved liquids. Reduced shipping weight means lower logistics emissions and faster delivery to your door.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

TRITON transitioned from 1-litre liquid supplements to 10x concentrated (100 ml) and dry salt (1 kg) formats for three reasons: significantly reduced plastic waste per dose, better value for reef keepers due to higher concentration, and lower shipping weight which reduces both cost and carbon footprint. The formulations remain identical — only the concentration and delivery format changed.

Divide your old 1L liquid dose by 10. For example, if you previously dosed 50 ml of the 1L Strontium liquid, you now dose 5 ml of the 10x concentrated Strontium. This calculator performs the conversion automatically — enter your old 1L dose and it shows the equivalent 10x concentrate amount, or enter the 10x amount and see the equivalent old 1L dose.

Yes. The dry salt supplements contain the same active compounds as the discontinued 1L liquids. When dissolved in RO water according to the instructions, they produce an equivalent solution. The dry salt format simply removes the water from the equation, reducing packaging waste and shipping weight while providing more product per package.

Use the "Raise mg/L" tab in this calculator. Enter your aquarium volume in litres and the desired increase in mg/L for each element. The calculator uses element-specific conversion factors — for example, Calcium uses the factor 273 (divide mg/L by 273, then multiply by aquarium litres) to determine the exact grams of dry salt needed. Always verify results with an ICP-OES analysis after adjustments.

Verify Your Levels With Data

After transitioning to the new product formats, an ICP-OES analysis confirms your element levels are where they should be. Test every 2–3 months for optimal reef health.
